In this episode of Dark Lord we, along with @MysteriousJG, take of the first of the optional super bosses in this game. The Shrieker. It might be a slog to kill them but the extra exp and gold we get out of it will probably help us advance much quicker.

Dark Lord (ダークロード) was an RPG released in 1991 for the Famicom by Data East, Aeon Genesis released a translation patch in 2006. This game takes place in world where magic is common place and the dark god Ragmeila was sealed away years ago. Demi-humans are trying to bring the titular Dark Lord back and we'll probably try to stop him since we are the main characters.

This game got a 28/40 from Famitsu and 20.35/30 from Family Computer Magazine. Not the best ratings but the game is kind of expensive now on ebay so maybe it holds up well.
