Continuing on from the previous part, I train at the gym, stock up on daily supplies, get a new fishing lure from Gomamon, and then finally go to the dimensional district to countinue the post-story side quest.
It seems Diaboromon has entered the dimensional district, having easily pushed passed Devimon.
So it's our job to go in there and defeat it!
This is the first of a number of dimensions that get unlocked, so I'll briefly explain how the dimensions work:
Each dimension has a set of rooms, most of which are filled with hostile Digimon, and also a boss fight at the end. (It doesn't happen on this first visit, but each dimension has another boss fight at the mid point of the dimension.)
Along with hostile digimon, there is also at least one room that has ally Digimon hanging around, and a room near the end that gives you rare materials.
The only ally digimon in this district right now is Mastemon, who is Mirei's digimon that she has never mentioned before.
What she does for us, well that brings us onto the other thing to note about these dimensions: You have to clear them by defeating the end boss before the time limit runs out.
Mastemon gives you some extra time, but lowers your Digimon's hp and mp to 1. (Not the greatest of trades there!)
So with that explanation out of the way, onto how things played out!
Shoma and his partner Digimon, Noir, are already here before us.
Splitting up, we head for the back of the dimension.
Unfortunately for me, I ended up having to battle "FOUR" Chrysalimon at the same time!
After my Digimon got knocked out, they cross digivolved into Rosemon Bm, and proceeded to defeat them one by one!
With the ExE cross digivolution seemingly wasted on this battle, I continue onwards while thinking that I have no chance against the boss.
Meeting Mastemon not long after this battle, I get some more time in exchange of my Digimon losing most of their hp and mp. (They didn't have much hp left after the battle anyway!)
After recovering as much of my Digimon's hp and mp as I could without wasting too many items, I meet up with Shoma right outside the boss room.
When we finally encounter the newly evolved Armageddemon, and he sets his other evolutions on us, all hope seems lost!
But luckily for us, Shoma takes care of the latter for us! Not so lucky for us, we have to defeat Armageddemon ourselves!
And just when all hope seemed lost, I discover that I can still manually use ExE cross digivolution! (I'm guessing the revive from battle version of it is separate to the once a day manual version!)
After a battle that was a bit shorter than the final boss, I win the battle, and Shoma congratulates us on our victory.
This side quest then concludes with Shoma wanting to battle us someday, and Diaboromon joining the city. (We don't get any scene with Diaboromon, though!)
What does he do in the city? The exact same thing we just went through! Diaboromon is one of a number of digimon that has his own dimension where you can battle him and his further evolved form, Armageddemon.
After talking to all of the main characters, I head to MOD cape to once again try to catch a Digisalmon.
Eventually obtaining some Digisalmon, I talk to MetalSeadramon in MOD cape ship 2.0. (He only appears when you have Digisalmon in your inventory.)
He is angry at us for overfishing, and so a battle ensues!
Not being able to rely on ExE cross digivolution this time around, I have to fight him the old fashioned way!
After a lengthy battle, MetalSeadramon is defeated, and he remembers that Digisalmon migrate a lot, so he apologises for thinking we were fishing them into extinction.
Having not long woken up, MetalSeadramon hands us PlatinumNumemon's platinum poop medal that he found on the ocean floor, and then joins the city.
After another quick battle with some of the local Digimon, and getting some more materials, I return to the city to see what MetalSeadramon is up to.
And what does he do? Well he teaches dark and ice skills for 50,000 bits.
To my suprise, I ended up learning a dark move from him! (I didn't realise I had the money for it!)
So with the final dark move learnt, the first post-story side quest completed, and two new Digimon in the city, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
