Let's Play Distorted Travesty 3 -Part 1
Behold as I quest for the awesome and incredibly rare power of known as... jumping? Wait, isn't this a platformer? How can jumping be something you have to unlock???
This is going to be quite the Let's Play.
-and now to copy-paste NegativeZeroZ's excellent description of the game, because it's better then anything I could come up with-
Follow the adventures of gaming legends Jerry and Claire, joined by hacker Jeremy and data miner Chao, in the most expansive and varied installment of the Distorted Travesty series, for over 60 hours of intense action platforming, with constantly evolving mechanics, consistently fresh gameplay, and a wide array of over 50 engaging boss fights that will put your gaming skills to the ultimate test.
The game can be downloaded for free (that's zero USD, no asterisk, no trial period, no ads to wait through) from the developer's blog:

New Features!:
-Borrow the skills and attributes of your favorite video game heroes and use them wherever you want! Ever wanted to shoot a Missile at a Goomba? Fire the X-Buster at a Medusa Head? Now you can!
-Swap anytime between two playable characters, each with their own unique ability sets and mobility quirks. Play with your favorite, swap out to suit the situation, or swap out just because you can!
-Controls are tighter than ever, and the physics have been updated. No more turbo spikes! This makes the game more fair, but also makes the game harder, unfortunately for you. :( Yep, a sad face...
-Native gamepad support is now a thing! No more Joy2Key donation nag screens for you! Play with your favorite controller, whatever you want, as long as it has enough buttons. Even a SNES pad will work!
-The highly-requested dash buttons are now in! Give the forward and backward dashes their own buttons or have them dash left and right regardless of your facing direction, it's your choice.
-Perfect your gameplay by practicing on the all-new Assist Mode. This mode makes learning stuff like trap gauntlets and boss fights easier, but encourages striving for a real victory on Standard Mode.
-Game not hard enough for you? Torture yourself some more with Nightmare Mode. Play through the game at level zero, with zero upgrades (except heart containers, though you can skip those too!)
-Enemy variety is out of control, with each area having a selection of new enemies, with more sophisticated behaviors than what you've seen from this game's predecessors, especially in the endgame.
-Optional levels are more intricate, now with their own boss fights! And who knows, maybe they serve a higher purpose..?
-The Boss Room from DT1 is back, now with a time trial mechanic! Fight, player! For everlasting onions! HECK YEAH, NEW RECORD!!
-A story! Yep, it certainly exists this time around.
-So much more stuff that I can't fit here because character limits!
