The Terror Core is a simple level with a few devious traps where just a little bit of foreknowledge will save you from imminent death.

It turns out I was mostly right in my guess, Terrorcore is a horror-themed version of hardcore dance music. Basically, that means a "four-on-the-floor" drum beat at 180+ BPM (but not so much as to get into the silliness of Extra Tone...go ahead and Wiki that!). Eisenfunk, while a bit repetitive, is actually not bad. Their music is a good driving around irresponsibly kind of soundtrack.
