The Holding Area has a secret exit that leads to the first story related secret level. Getting the combination right is a matter of trial and error, or, in my case, the result of a vivid childhood memory. It is the same specialized gaming memory that allows me to remember useless things like idspispopd turns off clipping in the original Doom and stands for Smashing Pumpkins Into Small Piles of Putrid Debris.
