A playthrough of "Hectic" (Map32) of Doom 64 Retribution for PC, played through GZDoom. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill). This map has no secrets. This map is the first secret level and is required to be beaten before unlocking the "Features" menu in the original Nintendo 64 console version, which allowed various cheats to be accessed, along with 3 special "Bonus Fun Maps" to be played.

The hardest map in Doom 64. It's... something special, to say the least. It's a total of 4 rooms. The central area, and 3 trapped danger rooms to conquer, each with a key required to reach the exit switch. Your opening area, or the central area, has 3 powerups: a Megaarmor, a Soulsphere, and a Security Armor, however grabbing any of these will kill you in gruesome ways. The first place to go is the right room, a small room with nothing but the red key, rocket launchers, rockets, and 3 Arachnotrons. You know, the biggest non-boss monster in all of Doom? In close quarters? With an explosive weapon? Which the room then tries to crush you when you kill the Arachnotrons? So you survive that and then go to the left. A narrow, square-pieced pathway with a Berserk Pack and the blue key. Getting the key activates the single worst room in the whole game. The blood beneath you lowers and becomes a death pit if you fall in, which is super easy when you're sandwiched by Hell Knights who can knock you off, while also killing them with a rocket launcher that has a kickback effect. The only escape is killing them. The final room is the most simple. You, squared tiles that lift as elevators, and the yellow key on the far side, only separated by spike-shooting traps. Once the keys are grabbed, you get your Megasphere and plasma cell reward and flip the switch.

Or you could just.... go in the exit teleporter and leave. But who wants to do that? Right?
