Let's play Doom - FORGE.WAD
0Another oldschool classic map I remember, it is not as well known maybe, and there is a version missing the cool gfx of the original (and sound effects as I realize now) in Doomworld idgames, but the good version is in WAD archive.
It features some add design choices like huge holes that let you die if you drop in, instead of having a teleport escape or something, the longest elevator in a Doom map (takes maybe two minutes), but also some cool interesting design choices, like a wallpaper in the beginning showing you where you go when you touch it like a portal and a room with a lot of enemies paying attention to a monitor where the spider mastermind boss gives them commands or something. That was pretty cool back in the 90s when I first played it!
