The World of Sand makes all attacks (not spells) cost an additional one stamina. All flat terrain on the battle map are Desert which cost one stamina point to move through. Both of this combine makes for some very tired troops very quickly.

Get to show off Pikemen for the first time along with the Scout again. Using a simple Cantrip spell, it is very easy to abuse the attributes of this shard.

Another option (though a bit tougher to get started) is to go with a Wizard and make an Undead army. Being Tireless, there would be no issues about moving and fighting. Also every summon used would drain twice as much stamina from the opposition as they try to take it out.
