Let's Play Elden Ring Part 14: "Tombsward Catacombs"
The word of the day is exploration. No need to commit to one particular build early in the game, as you may change your mind down the road, especially as the game gets balance patches, the pvp meta shifts, etc.
Anyway, Tombsward Catacombs: a mini dungeon full of skeletons. Beat them down with a strike weapon coated in holy power and they are nothing but dead old bones. The boss, however...I do not recommend getting in melee range of this boss. He can phase through your attacks and counter with about four to five slashes before you even realize it. He's also weak to holy damage, so if you're leaning towards Faith, this fight could be cake.

Earthbore Cave:
Rats suck. Avoid falling into the sinkhole in front of the treasure chest first thing, you will drop into a pit of rats that will all aggro at once, which can get you stunlocked and killed in seconds. Do not underestimate rats, they are vicious. The boss is a rune bear, also not to be underestimated. If you've crafted any sort of pot items, throw them for decent damage, especially the rancor pot recipe from the Tombsward Catacombs. Dragonfire also works well.
Morne Tunnel: We like upgrade materials, but we hate these misbegotten flying monkey-looking things. A +1Uchigatana with Electrified armament and Unsheathe potentially one-shots, as does the Kukri throwing knives. For the miners, you'll want a weapon that deals strike damage, and the whip's R2 is surprisingly effective. As for the boss, the Scaly Misbegotten, you can get about 4 lightnng spears off before it even reaches you, dealing well over 50% of its health in less than ten seconds.
