If you are playing the PSP or Mobile versions of this game as soon as you get Minwu in the party you can go and get his Arcane Labyrinth weapon, the Staff of Light.

The Staff of Light gives +50 Spirit, Agility, Intelligence & Magic for Minwu while he has it on, so it is a HUGE boon for Soul of Rebirth. The Agility alone is reason enough to get the weapon since that would reduce your chances of being ambushed.
