0After defeating the Liquid Flame boss,proceeding to the Fire Crystal chamber. Here they meet the Werewolf everyone in town has been talking about,and it seems to know Galuf! There's no time for a reunion however. A possessed soldier ends up turning on the Crystal amplification machine,causing the Fire Crystal to overload! The Werewolf ends up sacrificing his life to save the party,and asks them to protect the last remaining crystal,the Earth Crystal. At this point you now have to hustle. Castle Karnak will soon explode because the Fire Crystal is gone! You have 10 minutes to escape from the castle in time. All of the treasure chests that were previously blocked by flames are now yours for the taking. But keep in mind most of the chests are booby trapped with monsters inside. usually it'll be Gigas enemies,they counter attacks with Aero and can even cast Aera. They have quite a bit of HP too. if you run into a Sorcerer,you have a chance to steal Mage Mashers or Gaia Gear from them. If you have a Thief with the Flee ability learned,use it to immediately run from any random encounters that aren't from treasure chests. Some the awesome treasures here include a Ribbon,lots of Gil,several Elixirs,an Elven Mantle,a Main Gauche,and the Esuna White Magic spell. If you don't feel like you have enough time,don't feel obligated to get the treasure chests in the towers. They're kinda far away and you have to fight 3 monsters in each battle to get it. You have to make sure to give yourself enough time to fight the enemy that guards the exit of the castle too. It starts as a fight against a Sergeant and 3 Cur Nakks,but deal some damage and he'll turn into an Iron Claw! This thing has strong physical defense,so let it eat some Tier 2 Black Magic spells to the face. Blizzara with the Frost Rod should kill it in no time flat. Once you escape and Castle Karnak explodes,you'll receive 3 more Jobs: Beastmaster,Geomancer,and Ninja.
