It doesn't get a mention by me in the video proper, but Alphinaud is the grandson of Louisoix...the man who tried and failed to contain Bahamut with the power of The Tweleve, uwshing in the Seventh Umbral Era. His broken staff is on display in the Waking Sands. This was aluded to at the Rememberance Ceremonies, but it isn't until now that the family name is dropped and the official connection is made.
