After the "ballista battle", Matthew tells Lyn and the group about the "rumor" about the marquiss illness. Which is to say that the brother has been poisoning him in order to get Caelin for himself, and in order for him to succeed, he has asked for help from other regions of Lycia to help him destroy Lyn. Lyn then asks Eliwood for help and he comes through. And so begins our battle at General Eagler Estate.

So for this battle, there's really only 2 things that you have to worry about in this stage. Well 3 if you count the boss. The first thing you need to worry about is the fog. There's a fog mechanic in this stage which will limit your visibility so you won't really be able to see most of the map which can be a bit of a problem if the enemy is just out of your visibility and you can't attack them. So just move steadily forward so you don't get ambushed. But this stage isn't too bad as there's really only fear of getting ambushed by 2 or 3 enemies at a time unlike other stages in the game where you get ambushed by 4 or 5 units. The 2nd is the reinforcements. There are reinforcemtns at the bases near the mountains and one at the top right corner of the stage. Just positioned one unit just outside of them and you won't have much to worry about. The top corner spawns soilder while the rest are bandits. The third thing you might have to worry about is the boss which is a level 1 paladin. He's not too tough though most of you unit might not be able to damage him. But I found that I am able to fell him pretty easily by having Wallace as bait. Which will get him to use your axe, get Lyn to hit him with the mani katti, use the rescue method to get her out of there and drop her near there, use Nills to dance, and use her to attack again. More than likely, he will fall pretty easily.
You get Wallace as a party member in this stage. He joins you at the start of the game. He's a level 12 knight.
There is one town in this stage which will get you a torch which will increase your visibility in fog or night stages.
