This is my personal review of Xenoblade Chronicles. As a person who plays rpgs, I knew I had to get Xenoblade Chronicles if only to see if it's as good as people say it was. At first, I was weary because I thought the combat system look a bit boring from gameplay footage but I have to say that Xenoblade Chronicles surprised me. Now, after a playthrough of the game, I would like to give my overall opinion on the game.


Xenoblade Chronicles is a rpg with a real time combat system. It took me around 55 hours to complete the game but there was tons of side quests that I didn't even completed. There is also a NG+ feature, but that doesn't really add to the game as it transfer your levels and a few of your equipment which will make you blaze through the game pretty quickly as enemies don't scale with you.

Summary:

Xenoblade Chronicles is a fantastic game. It got great presentation with its story, environments, soundtrack and overall artstyle and got great gameplay with its MMO-styled combat system being both unique and engaging, the leveling system being pretty good, and the exploration is fantastic. There are problems with the game such as the side quests not being all that interesting, the character models being a bit bland to me, the camera issues and the bad AI but the flaws doesn't really hold the game back much in my honest opinion.
