Lets Play Full-Game: Black Myth: Wukong "Play Through" part 7
Chapter 2 takes place in what used to be the Kingdom of Sahali. The Kingdom was terrorized by the giant insect Fuban, until the Yellow Wind Sage (final boss of this area) subdued Fuban. In order to thank the Yellow Wind Sage, the people of Sahali began worshipping rats, because the Yellow Wind Sage is a giant rat himself.
During the Journey to the West, the Yellow Wind Sage was defeated by Sun Wukong with the help of Boddhisatva Lingji (headless banjo playing guy). He surrendered and became Lingji's pupil. However, in his absence Fuban began terrorizing the Kingdom of Sahali once more, causing it to fall to ruins and the only inhabitants left are the rats.
Yellow Wind Sage was originally a benevolent entity, as he stopped to help the people of Sahali. However, he was corrupted after coming across one of the relics of Sun Wukong, and descended into madness. He cut off his master, the Boddhisatva Lingji's head and used it as a container for the relic, hoping to absorb its power. He returned to the Kingdom of Sahali, and ordered his two lieutenants, the Tiger Vanguard and the Stone Vanguard, to guard him while he tries to absorb the relic's power. He conjures giant sandstorms to prevent anyone from approaching him.
Tiger Vanguard began exerting tyrannical rule over the rat inhabitants and starts to eat the rats. The rat king is very displeased with this, and believes that as soon as the Yellow Wind Sage finishes absorbing the relic's power he would punish the Tiger Vanguard.
