Aya is generally one of the best commanders in the game simply because she can make it so you can go first. This means you can get off all your attacks on a Yukkuri before it can run away. Yukkuri's are essentially metal slimes from Dragon Warrior, they are immune to magic and extremely hard to hit and damage. But no matter your current level, they will always give 1010 exp which is alot for one battle. They also have a decent drop if you can ever get lucky enough to see it.
