Let's Play Gungrave Part 5
2Stage 5: Underground. With Doctor T gone,Mika is now Grave's only ally left. As he was heading out,the police intercepted his bike,forcing him off the road. Most of this stage takes place in a large circular area; be careful dodging attacks since you can fall off the platforms here and have to start from the bottom. There's also next to no objects to destroy here,making it difficult to build up your Beat for Demolition Shots. The police enemies here aren't as tough as the Syndicate goons,but they do have contraptions that they can fly around in. A new enemy type here uses a flamethrower. It's got limited range,but it'll rip through your shield and HP if it actually hits. Thankfully this stage doesn't have as many rocket launcher enemies to deal with,though they are still around. The final part of the stage is an elevator ride. You'll just have to fend off enemies while waiting to reach the top. The last group has 2 rocket launcher dudes,so you might need to use a Demo Shot to end them quickly. Survive the ride and you'll face the next Millennion Syndicate member,Bear Walken. This Samurai dude turns into what looks like a hand. He can spin a flamethrower around if you get to close and also has machine guns for when you're far away. If he manages to grab you,he'll also do a special attack for massive damage. Keep your distance and keep moving to deal with this form. For his Overdrive form he turns into a big hulking creature. From long range he'll toss exploding objects at you;mid range he'll send shockwaves,and close range he'll do a wind up punch that moves him in whatever direction he aims. This boss is annoying since you have to keep moving at all times pretty much to avoid damage,making it difficult to do damage consistently. But keep up the assault and eventually he'll go down.
