Let's Play Half-Life Ep.12 Thinking With Portals
25On the twelfth episode of Let's Play Half-Life, we've finally reached the Sector F Lambda Complex after battling our way across the surface. In the Hazardous Materials Bay we meet a scientist that tells us we'll need to start up the reactor on the way to meeting up with the rest of the science team to put a stop to the dimensional invasion. We also receive another prototype weapon from a second scientist, the Gluon Gun, which rips apart living things at the molecular level through the power of SCIENCE. Down in the reactor chambers, things are still pretty bad, with Vortigaunts and Alien Grunts all over the place. Yet another scientist hiding down here with a security Barney informs us that we just need to start up the two pumps before swimming into the reactor core. Activating them proves to be quite a hassle, but then we need to climb up through the reactor without getting fried. In the Teleportation Labs above, we find the portals that the Lambda team had been secretly working on long before the Resonance Cascade. Traversing a series of portals finally leads us to the science team in the Lambda Core, who tells us we need to travel through a big portal to the alien's world and kill an entity that is keeping the dimensional breach from closing.
