Alternate video title: Supreme Ultimate Super Victory

In this video, not only do we win utterly and supremely but everything turns out in the best possible manner for absolutely everyone. Yes, even the people who died. Honestly. Really, I'm being entirely sincere. There's not a single hint or sarcasm in my tone at all. We do really completely and utterly win.

...Sort of.

Compared to Blue Shift, I have to say that Opposing Force is definitely different and while very entertaining I feel the second expansion was an improvement on many aspects of the game. That's not something you can hold against Opposing Force however, presented by itself it's a very fun and interesting premise. Back then it wasn't common to be playing the characters perceived to be the villains and it added a new angle to the story of Half-Life that paints the activities of the marines in a new light. The new enemies were challenging and the enemy operatives were exceptionally tough but I feel that's more appropriate for this game then the original Half-Life; you're a marine in this one better suited to deal with those enemies as opposed to Freeman who is a scientist. Graphically it's pretty much the same as Blue Shift but considering the engine and the time frame it was made in that's not surprising. All in all, it was nice to revisit the game and once again travel through Black Mesa.

Will we ever return to the world of Half-Life? Maybe but not just yet. For now I feel we need a change of pace and to step away for a time from first person shooters. More importantly, will I return to Half-Life original or another game in the series? That's another question altogether...

See you next Let's Play!
