Note: This Let's Play is a test for Avermedia and is low energy
Cao Cao rushes his forces to assist Fan Castle and General Cao Ren against the relentless attack led by Guan Yu. Pang De comes up with a special plan to turn the tide into our favor.
Fan Castle is located in Jing Province. Cao Cao's forces were deployed to defend Hefei, allowing Guan Yu the opportunity to attack the region. Mi Fang and Shiren were left behind to guard positions as Guan Yu led the main Shu force in the area to attack Fancheng. Guan Yu's forces quickly surrounded Cao Ren's positions, causing Cao Cao to order Yu Jin and Pang De to assist Cao Ren. Pang De forced Guan Yu to retreat several times in skirmishes and earned the title "General White Horse" from the Shu forces. These minor losses were not enough to lift the siege, however.
Heavy rains would cause a flood that would destroy Yu Jin and Pang De's forces, enabling Guan Yu to finish the reinforcements off. Pang De would be executed at this point. Some of Cao Cao's administrators of other cities in the area soon defected to Guan Yu. Rebels that Cao Ren had been battling previous to Guan Yu's attack also joined the Shu side.
At this point, Cao Cao asked Sun Quan to attack Guan Yu in exchange for control of the Jing Province. Sun Quan had asked Guan Yu to arrange a marriage between Guan Yu's daughter and Sun Quan's son, but Guan Yu refused and insulted the emissary, angering Sun Quan. Guan Yu also raided Sun Quan's borders for food due to the size of his army.
With Fancheng flooded, Cao Ren considered abandoning the city, but administrator Man Chong convinced him to defend to the death. Cao Cao again sent reinforcements to Jing, this time attaching them to Xu Huang and ordering Xu Huang to refrain from fighting until they had arrived due to Xu Huang's being comprised of mostly new recruits.
Once the reinforcements arrived, Xu Huang forced Guan Yu's vanguard to withdraw. Sun Quan soon told Cao Cao of his plan to attack Guan Yu from behind and Cao Cao intentionally informed Guan Yu of this to further strain the relations between Shu and Wu. Cao Cao brought more reinforcements to Jing Province in preparation for a final battle with Guan Yu's forces.
Xu Huang at this point would strike and defeat Guan Yu's forces, forcing Guan Yu to retreat. Cao Cao's forces would not pursue, allowing Guan Yu to regroup so that he may do more damage to Sun Quan's forces.
Guan Yu's rear forces led by Mi Fang and Shiren had already surrendered to Lu Meng and Guan Yu's main force quickly dwindled as his troops deserted. After a brief battle, Guan Yu's remaining men would be defeated and captured by Sun Quan's army. Guan Yu and his son Guan Ping, along with General Zhao Lei would be executed following this final defeat, causing Liu Bei much rage towards former ally Sun Quan.
