Odin played a friendly game of hide and seek with three faeries in a forest that they had turned into a maze. After eventually finding them all, they put the forest back to the way it was, and the way to the second dungeon was open. However, upon removing a rock from in front of the dungeon, it crumbled to nothing.

The Maku Tree then hinted at being able to get to the dungeon from the past, but Odin would need to find a way to get back. So he headed to Nayru's house for clues, where he found the Harp of Ages. Nayru then appeared to him and taught him the Tune of Echoes, allowing him to open portals to the past...
