This is another game I wasn't sure what to expect in. I'd seen it streamed before, so I had a rough idea, but I wasn't clear on how much it might grab me. The potential issue is that the game has no opponents to speak of. I figured the chances I'd like it are pretty good since I'm not a player that thrives on challenge, but I don't think I needed to worry; the game world is beautiful and encourages exploration, which you need to do to fuel a fun gathering/farming/upgrading cycle that powers further exploration of the lands and the mysteries contained in ruins and settings therein.
Lightyear Frontier is likely to be a bit of a slow burn, but it really does burn in a fun way.
