Pogo! Eater of puppies!

The prehistoric chapter is a rather fun. There are only a couple of rough parts if you take the time to level up and craft the best gear.

There are two gimmicks to the this chapter. One is crafting. Combine two items and you will get either gear or an attack item. There are around twenty different combinations.

The other gimmick is tracking by scent. Instead of random encounters, there are a set number of monsters on the field but they are all unseen. To find them, you must track their scent and run into them (or just stumble into them by accident). Only exception to this rule is the hidden boss which requires you to hit the A button to catch him.

Just to clarify what I stumbled with halfway through this part, the trick to the room with the running caveman is each time you catch a caveman in that room, another one spawns. This will happen until there are twenty cavemen in the room. If the next caveman you hit is the twentieth one that entered, you get one of every raw material that you can find. If you don't hit the correct one, they all leave the room and one enters the room, restarting the process. Easiest way to catch the last caveman is to count the cavemen as you hit a random one until you reach nineteen. Then you step infront of the door and hit a caveman that passes by. The twentieth caveman will then be stuck at the entrance, making it trivial to catch him.
