Again, I'll say it here: Lan is a 10 year old boy. His parents just let him go on an international flight by himself without so much as seeing him off at the airport. In fact, the only person that even bothered to go to the airport to see Lan off was Mayl. I think I know how Lan ended up like he did.
Anyway, we're in the not-US now, even if we did get pickpocketed before we even boarded the plane. You'd think we'd report this to the authorities, because just how far could that particular assailant get here? But alas, we just board the plane.
