Cleanup time can take some time, but the end-items and health boosts are worth it. Grinding to max Nightmare Souls... not so worth it. As long as you can equip two normal parts, and one limited per character, you should be fine. Once we access Gate's Lab is when the game really starts to get tedious. Be it the poorly design vertical section that X can't make it through unless you have a specific set of abilities, or Zero; Some annoying bosses; poorly placed enemies; the works. Nightmare Mother/King is annoying due to damage output and how annoying it is to dodge, not to mention getting to it alone as X.
