Let's Play No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise - Part 1 - It's Game Time Again
9 years...9 years since I Let's Played No More Heroes. Well, technically it's been 9 years, 6 months, and 13 days...but that's besides the point! How in the blazes does time go by THAT fast! It really feels like just yesterday that I was starting out the channel and I can't believe how far I've come! Believe it or not, this isn't the only special occassion! We're also a mere 18 days away from a brand new entry in the No More Heroes series! I never thought I'd live to see the day!
While this new game may not be the true NMH3 (most people have written it off, judging by the negative comments on the various gameplay trailers), I am stoked as hell for another SUDA51-directed wild ride and am hopeful this will lead into bigger and better things! NMH1+2 for Switch? NMH3!? Travis for Smash!!? Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
REGARDLESS, let's not set our sights on the new and instead focus on the old! The original No More Heroes for the Nintendo Wii! Well...not exactly. Since I've already played that game here I thought this is a good time as any to finally dive into...the poorly-recieved Japanese exclusive 360 version, which was then butchered even more into a North American PS3 version. Yeah, this one is a doozy...SUDA himself didn't even have anything to do with the production of this port!
While this version may have a multitude of controls, graphics and performance related issues, it does actually have some worthwhile content in the form of unlockable outfits, some quality of life changes to the open-world and combat, and even some brand new bosses! So this one is definitely a mixed bag.
I am extremely passionate about the NMH universe as a whole so I'm excited to dive into this port and fully complete it for the first time. Revisiting this game for the channel is gonna be quite the nostalgia trip! It's like the band is back together and on one last world tour! So whaddaya say, bro? Join me! Let's see how far we can take this! And for you out there in front of the screen? Just press the Play Button! Let the bloodshed begin...again!

In this part we join our anti-hero protagonist, Travis Touchdown, storming Death Metal's mansion and slicing through an army of thugs to get to the head honcho! Wait, did we miss a few pages or something? Where's the script! Ah, here we are!
A few days prior, a down on his luck Travis runs into the sexy and mysterious Slyvia Christel, an agent with the United Assassin's Association. Pretty desperate for cash, and the driven by the allure of her french accent, Travis takes on a job that has him fighting a man named Helter Skelter...to the death! Travis (with his eBay purchased Beam Katana in hand) wins the fight with style and is now officially ranked as the 11th Best Hitman. (Suck it, 47!)
Little does Travis know, that once you get into the killing game, it can be hard to get out...but hey! Maybe if we get ourselves to the top of the ranks, we can do the deed with our new employer, eh? No, that isn't me being a pervert. That's a pretty major motivation for our...err...hero. Our No More Hero!
