0Time to face off against the first real boss of the game,the dragon Hooktail. Make sure you have the Attack FX R Badge equipped before you go into battle against it. Hooktail can't stand the sound of crickets,and that's exactly the sound that badge makes. Every time Mario attacks with it on,Hooktail's attack and defense will steadily drop. Hooktail can use a stomp attack and breathe fire on both party members. when it's HP hits 0,make sure to say no to all of it's requests. It will then eat the audience and recover 10 HP. Finish it off afterwards! Up next is the Princess Peach intermission; you'll find she has indeed been captured,by a group known as the X-Nauts. She gets to interact with a computer named TEC,and learns this group is after he Crystal Stars too. Bowser gets his own intermission too! Once he learns Peach has been kidnapped,he heads out to kidnap her himself! He's also interested in having the Crystal Stars for himself now.
