0Ok, let's talk about the elephant in the room. The villain is a mad scientist with a big forehead.. a lot like Doctor Cortex from Crash Bandicoot. You have a spin attack... also like Crash. There are TNT boxes, and even green Nitro boxes. It's a 3D platformer on playstation. Do you see where I'm going with this? Yes, this game feels heavily borrowed. This game does replace the map screen with a hub world ala Mario 64, as well as more Mario style 3D platforming... but in total: this game doesn't seem to have a unique idea of its own. The character is a bit like a mix between Crash and Acro the Bat. If you love the 3D platforming genre, it's not a bad game really (well, ok except for spawning the player 1 step from an instead death pit on the second level of the game), but it's just not really bringing anything new to the table.
