So far, Bitterman has been fighting through the various Strogg facilities solo, but is he truly the only one that survived? Did some other marines manage to land despite the incoming fire and are also doing what we are? Were some injured and captured alive or were they subjeted to a fate worse than death?

We may never get the answer to these questions but for now, we have to act as if we're the only person still able to fight, not least because I know this game doesn't have a companions system to allow for NPC marines to join your side. There's also the fact that they'd probably be as effective as Superfly was in Daikatana, getting in the way of your shots while blasting you in the back to try and reach enemies.
