3Looks like I hit a bit of a wall, here...
I'm guessing that a lot of my problems stem from putting absolutely no points in body on the first level. Spells aren't quite strong enough to work solely with them quite so early, meaning you'll have to stick to melee combat for a good while. It's possible that identify is also far more important than anything else so early (except for stealth, although I haven't used it in the slightest to know either way) given how important scrolls may end up being. Definitely a harder game now!
