Let's take a look at the Trapped mode for Reconquest. The Trapped mode offers eight single-player challenges akin to the campaign mission, albeit without close ties to the campaigns.

Reconquest is a 2016 traditional real-time strategy base-building game. More than a century after World War III, radiation levels have dropped low enough for humanity to leave its underground shelters and re-establish their cities.
