As I said in the first episode of Resident Evil, I wanted to take you guys through the opening section of the Gamecube REmake to compare it with the original, and show off some the changes and new content. Sadly the frame rate issues that crop up here are a result of the recording setup I use, which is the main reason I'm not doing this version instead.
This complete overhaul of the first Resident Evil came about as part of an exclusivity deal between Capcom and Nintendo to produce three Resident Evil games to be released exclusively for the Gamecube. In addition to this game, there was also Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil 4, which didn't stay exclusive for long.
