Let’s Play Sekiro Shadows Die Twice | Surviving One Hour Of Sekiro PC Gameplay
At last, some Sekiro PC gameplay. Having played it on PS4, Rock Paper Shotgun brave the first 60 minutes of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice on PC, for this let’s play Sekiro. Spoilers for the tutorial area, obviously. For more Sekiro impressions, check out our recent impressions: https://youtu.be/0U7LWvaFYhc. We have Rock Paper Shotgun’s very own reviews ninja working on a full Sekiro review, but if you want to see how FromSoftware’s latest runs on PC, this footage should do the trick. We played it on a GTX 1070 at 1440p, in case you were wondering. The Sekiro frame rate looks pretty solid to us - and it definitely zips through the load times compared to PS4. Of course, for a more detailed technical analysis, you’ll have to wait for our full Sekiro PC review.
In this Let’s Play Sekiro episode we tackle the opening tutorial and explore in the outskirts around Ashina Castle - the tutorial hasn’t been shown publicly let, so watch out for spoilers, but the Ashina Castle area was where we explored in the previous video. We show off some of the hilariously bloody Sekiro kills and explore the Sekiro opening area - and get murdered by a giant ogre thing. We decided to share the pad in this Sekiro lets play, so you can see how a total newcomer takes to the controls - not that Matthew was much better.
Hopefully this video offers more of a Sekiro gameplay overview - you’ll get the basics of stealth, exploration and item management. Obviously, the game opens up a bit more not long after we stop playing - you get to start investing in skill trees and such - but this should act as a solid Sekiro walkthrough for the first hour. Would you like us to do more episodes of Let’s Play Sekiro? We could always rename this video Sekiro episode 1 and take it away.
If you have any questions about how the game plays on PC - or in general - pop them in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer them. Or, as mentioned before, check out that impressions video for a more focused analysis of the opening few hours. The game seems very solid to us, mixing the tension of Dark Souls with the ninja abilities of Tenchu - it’s not quite an out and out stealth game (you still have to master combat) - but stealth gives you an interesting edge. And you really can’t argue with the grappling hook.
