So... this guy is Gotou?

Well, I don't know what I expected, but... well, whatever. Dude gives us a big ol' narrative about ancient gods and force fields and nuclear warheads and... WELL. He also wants us to join him.

Mkay. Recap: Guy in his underwear tells us some crazy tall tale and wants us to join him. Yeah. Maybe not.

Fortunately, we have some time to think, so we head straight back out, improve our equip, and go towards the American embassy to hear their side of the story.

Shin Megami Tensei is a Japanese role playing game from 1992 that has been released on the Super Famicom system. A first person "blobber" style game, it's one of the earlier entries in a long running series that later spawned such internationally popular game things like the Persona or Digital Devil Saga series.
