Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 102 (The Defect Ascension 10 Run 1)
2This is the very first time we got to achieve the DOUBLE Zap dream! Card match is the only way to find another copy of Zap unless you clone it yourself by whatever means you can find, but I've always wanted a ton of free Zaps just whipping around and we got to see a little of that power today!
We got an Apotheosis early and you gamers already know how I like to get down.. Immediately we took it and started leaning into orb creation, specifically lightning orbs and evoking them. We made our star kill card Meteor Strike but honestly my ambitions were a bit high here.. There were many times I just couldn't play the Meteor Strike because the cards didn't fall in the correct order to GIVE me the energy necessary to play it once BECAUSE once you play it once you get fusion orbs that can allow you to play it again later when it wheels back around but I had some bad synergy in the deck because I was creating so many orbs and evoking them that I'd often evoke the energy orbs whilst creating new lightning orbs and it would hurt me in the long run when I needed the fusion orbs later for Meteor Strike again, and often time that inturn would cause me to have a lot of excess energy left over on our turns that would just go wasted. We definitely had issues with our energy this game BUT nevertheless it was a great warm up coming back to The Defect and I had a blast as always playing this hyper-brained character but I definitely misplayed a TON so.. always room for improvement! I guess "I'll try again tomorrow" ;) See you gamers there!
