Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 9 (The Watcher Ascension 0 Run 1)
1IM ALWAYS STUCK IN WRATH STANCE!!! AHHH!!!
We're finally taking on The Watcher and I am learning how STRONG yet BRITTLE this character can be! I think she will become my second favorite character in the game the more I master her, but man she can be a bit misleading at first glance. I tried to make a stance dance deck heavily pushing me into the wrath state with cards like Eruption, Crescendo (which also thinned itself out of the deck) Indignation and Simmering Fury to help weaken and draw while also pushing us into the wrath stance, and cards like Talk to the Hand to gain block, two copies of Cut Through Fate's to Scry to the right cards we wanted (mostly stance dance cards) and draw them and hopefully land a Ragnarok while IN the wrath stance, killing basically everything, and then cards like Vigilance, Empty Fist and Empty Body to get me out of the wrath stance to prevent me from taking lethal damage.. While we danced around death for quite awhile, we eventually drew a bad hand against a group that was threatening a lot of damage and we just fell short. For this, I have named the deck of our first run with The Watcher, "The Dance With Death" It was fun while it lasted..
