Just as an aside: Why is it that when you establish some highly competent international taskforce/agency/group in a story, odds are that they're going to get horribly slaughtered by the antagonists in the second or third acts? Like, can we not just have an organisation that DOESN'T get fucked up just for the sake of moving the plot forward?
