Ah, Lava Reef. I like this zone very much, be it due to my bias toward fiery levels or no. The difficulty seems fair for a final stage (well, at least it's the final stage in Knuckles' story, anyway) and there's a lot of setpieces to make it visually interesting in my opinion. Not to mention the contrast between the two acts, it's almost as if it's two separate zones. Almost. The boss is ... well, I can understand why speedrunners use zips to skip this one. ^^' A fire shield REALLY helps, but otherwise, I'd describe the Hot Mobile as a true "platforming boss."
