From the Flying Battery, we grab a door and snowboard down a mountain. This particular section is only available to Sonic, Tails just starts at the end of the snowboarding sequence, and Knuckles has a different startpoint altogether.

Ice Cap Zone is a fun level, and a bit of a maze involving never ending slides with platforms you ride to break down ice walls to progress. Act 2 amps it up, adding one of the more infamous gimmicks of the game: the trampoline. Long story short, unless you're playing the original, you'll want to cancel your super form before using these.
