Let's Play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Part 04 - Rookie Stalker Attempts Heroism, Results Mixed
0We continue sidejobbing in and around Zalissya, making more contacts and scrounging up supplies. Top of the to-do list is a job for Lens, the town's technician. A team of diggers went missing on a routine scrap patrol, and he needs someone to lace up their hiking boots and go check on them. This one quickly gets complicated, first for the expected reasons and then for slightly less expected ones. We also get some prime examples of emergent gameplay along the way, as bandits, soldiers, and wildlife all cross paths. The Zone is as lively as ever, it seems!
Early into this adventure, we also get an object lesson on why trying to play hero can end badly. Especially on Veteran difficulty, where the higher HP means some critters are extremely difficult to kill. We'll revisit this topic later on, but this time there's a creative workaround to the problem...
