Let's Play Star Ocean The Divine Force Part 1 of 4 - The 80s Glam Metal Hair Sci-Fi Space Adventure
We're playing Star Ocean The Divine Force and discovering if 80s glam metal and medieval sci-fi works! Will our party of young, intergalactic adventurers from different technological time periods find the courage to defeat the evil space villains? Let's start finding out in this Let's Play video!
I haven't played a Star Ocean game for quite some time and I had forgotten just how corny and cringy JRPGs can be. The Divine Force is a crash course in how to write some of the most awful Playstation 2-era dialogue you can imagine but inadvertently create something hilarious.
Speaking of the PS2, the graphics...ouch. I was hoping for modern graphics but Star Ocean The Divine Force looks like an upscaled PS2 game at best. This is OK because the actual gameplay and customization options are pretty fun. I just wish the areas you fought in weren't so empty.
