0Thank the Heavens! I've made it to the Diofield Chronicle ending and it's finally over. Boy, what an ending! Spoiler alert! IT'S LAZY AND BORING!
The lazy writing in The Diofield Chronicle continues right to the credits and even silently during the post-credit scene. Nothing is ever fully explained. Things happen to shock the player with zero buildup. There is no story here. It's a series of random events strung together. I'm sorry; it's a pet peeve since I'm a writer in real life. Storytelling earns me my paycheque so I must take issue with this for the sake of writers everywhere.
I usually don't regret playing games but DioField Chronicle has made it onto that list. The potential is there, but they squandered it.
