Here's my time piloting the Lamjet MK II and Rubicon.
The Lamjet MK II handles about the same way as the original Lamjet, though with a bit slower speed and lower shield totals in favor of the interesting Timewarp ability.
The Rubicon feels like a challenge ship where you are gimped in certain areas. The Handcannon is nice, but considering you can attach it to any ship via random drops, shops, or the ship editor, it kind of removes some of the Rubicon's uniqueness. Simply put, I feel most of the other ships perform better.
