Santa Inc. Backstory

The Elves of the North Pole are a long lived race who specialize in setting up workshops in the coldest regions of other civilized planets. They have, for millennia, secretly constructed their cold workshops to distribute toys and other consumer goods to the planets population and turn a profit doing so. Their leaders, known as “Santas”, manage the empire from their home planet of North Pole. Given the number of workshops across the galaxy, Santa has appointed an elf to manage the day to day operations of each workshop.

Having developed faster than light technology well ahead of the rest of the galaxy the elven race had to come up with a strategy to open their workshops on planets without making their true presence known. They concocted elaborate stories of their leaders and their operation to hide their true identities from the world’s where they operated. Eventually their stories grew into legends of Santa and his workshop distributing toys to children every year. Of course the majority of the population discounted their existence as fictional and used that time of year to buy new consumer goods for each other en mass. Santa Inc. continued to encourage this legend as it further concealed their identity and their true intention of producing consumer goods to sell for great profits. They would often send out agents to infiltrate the consumer industry of a planet to create stores that could sell their products all the while promoting the Santa legend to further their income.

However, now with the development of FTL travel becoming more prominent across the galaxy and more empires becoming tolerable of other species Santa Inc. can finally move beyond the legends and sell their goods more openly.

Stellaris: MegaCorp is the latest full expansion for Paradox Development Studio’s iconic sci-fi grand strategy game, which has players ushering in an era of prosperity and profit on a galactic scale. In this economy-focused expansion, players can become the CEO of a powerful corporate empire to expand operations across the stars.

Stellaris: MegaCorp features include:

CORPORATE CULTURE
Chief Executive Officers of a MegaCorp can conduct business on a galaxy-wide scale with a host of new civics. By building Branch Offices on planets within empires they have trade agreements with, the MegaCorp can add a portion of the planet’s Trade Value to their own network. Using the new Corporate Authority, construct an economic powerhouse and dominate galactic trade - for a brighter future.

CITY WORLD
With Ecumenopolis, players can increase the population density of core worlds to truly epic proportions, eventually creating a planet-spanning megacity.

CARAVANEER FLEETS
Keep an eye out for the Caravaneers, nomadic interstellar wheelers-and-dealers who stay aloof from galactic politics, and always have a bargain up their sleeve. Expect surprises when these master traders wander through your space or when you visit their home systems.

MORE MEGASTRUCTURES
The budget has been approved for your own glorious Matter Decompressor, Mega-Art Installation, Interstellar Assembly or Strategic Coordination Center to acquire new scaling capabilities for your megalopolis.

GALACTIC SLAVE MARKET

VIP STATUS COMES WITH ITS PERKS
Keep your economy competitive in a cutthroat galaxy with additional Ascension perks!

ADVISORS AND MUSIC
3 Additional Advisors and 4 music tracks to help you conquer the Galaxy.
