Riou & Jowy head outside and Captain Rowd tells them that the State Army has made a surprise attack and orders them to retreat through the Woods. Riou & Jowy start running that way until Jowy had an ideat hat the State Army could be lying in wait so they turn around to tell Captain Rowd about this.

They return to find Captain Rowd talking about a secret plan with a really evil sinister looking man who turns out to be Luca Blight, the Prince of Highland. It turns out this was all a ploy by Luca to justify a war against the State.

After being attacked by Highland Soldiers, Riou & Jowy decide to head to the cliffs to the north and jump down the waterfall. Not before making a promise to return to that spot if they were to ever get separated. Will they make it back to Kyaro alive to see Nanami or have we seen the last of Riou & Jowy?
