Let's Play Super Mario World - Part 4: Bridge Over Troubled Koopas
I didn't need to split the video this time. In fact, this is the shortest LP video I've had yet. That's understandable, I guess, since I did only three stages this time around: Cheese Bridge Area, Cookie Mountain, and #4 Ludwig's Castle. This place doesn't even have an official name, unlike the other worlds, but in any case, it qualifies as World 4.
Cheese Bridge Area is simpler than it looks. It's full to the brim with line guides and chainsaws...but the chainsaws are the only enemies in the stage. (I used to call them "cheese cutters" when I was young, which makes sense when you think about it.) It's not as frantic as you'd expect. (But why is that one room the only level in the entire game that contains the diagonal Bullet Bill generator? Such a shame...) Cookie Mountain is definitely the more difficult of the two, with LOTS of Monty Moles, plus Sumo Brothers and other things getting in your way. It's quite a fun stage, though; Cookie Mountain is probably one of my favorite stages in the game. Ludwig's Castle is rather interesting, too, although...well, put it this way: Do not dawdle in this stage; the time limit is unusually strict. You get only 300 SMW-seconds to complete all three sections of the castle and the boss. Ludwig Koopa is the only Koopa Kid in this game with a unique attack pattern; all others are "paired up" (which I did mention in the video). The Twin Bridges Area may be short, but it's actually one of my favorite worlds.
