Let's Play: The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog

So, I'm not a Sonic fan. I played the early games as most people did, but that's about it. I've not kept up with the IP in any way. So imagine my surprise when a new Sonic title dropped on April first. And what's more, that it was a visual novel, and it was free! I mean, I'd be stupid not to check it out, right?
I am so glad I did.
The story is this: It's Amy's birthday, and she's rented out a train to have a murder mystery party. Sonic is the victim (hence the title) and it's your job, well, it becomes your job sort of, to find out whodunit. Of course, things are not as they seem. The game itself is fairly linear, with very light puzzles in the form of presenting evidence when prompted, as well as a little isometric jumping game that gains difficulty throughout the story. It's not a _hard_ game. It is, however, a delightful one.
There is so much heart in this 3ish hour game: The art's delightful, the music is phenomenal, the writing feels like the actual characters. It's all just a celebration of the Sonic franchise whilst also making a few jokes at its expense. It's just... a really enjoyable game that doesn't overstay it's welcome.
