With the dragon slain and its head retrieved, we have everything we need to prove to the people of Valoria that we are in fact the Avatar. That we got the glyph of valour at the same time is an added bonus but there are things we should do before we head back to the volcanic isle the knights call home. First we need to sort out our inventory again so that we have more space which involves a trip back to Castle Britain, then we’ll do a bit of spell binding followed by something the Avatar has neglected to do a lot of up to this point: weapons training. Fortunately, this isn’t done by stabbing the air for 20 minutes like on Pagan but instead through the fade-out montage, a great way of implying time has passed without actually showing any of it.

While it’s not essential to learn new techniques with the different weapon types, some of them have situations where they’re exceptionally useful. The one Iolo taught us is a great example, allowing us to knock out the magical shield protecting the slasher demon so we could dispatch it with ease. We don’t have the stats for everything – the trainer in the castle says we’re not agile enough – and the later techniques cost a lot of gold but what else do we need to buy at this point?

I can’t help but feel I’ve forgotten something, however, like I’ve left something behind that I really should’ve kept for later...
