2I honestly appreciate all of the warnings about Makyo. I'm not sure that it's as deadly as they're making it out to be (the healing between fights is really solid), but it helps sell the feeling, ya know?
On the topic of the healing... I think there'd be an interesting challenge run for this game where you avoid buying any of the passive skills. I don't think it'd make the game super hard or anything, but it would mean that you'd actually need to use items to recover health/psi, and that the late-game one-shot recovery chalices would be more meaningful. Oh well, something to think about.
As for the games I'm thinking about (because I said I'd post the list here). Let me know what you think!
* Hollow Knight (Bug Souls: the Metroidvania. Kinda long because I'm bad at it).
* Ikenfell (Harry Potter meets Paper Mario, but it's queer friendly).
* Some RPG Maker games that are RPGs.
* Some RPG Maker games that aren't RPGs.
* Spyro (probably Year of the Dragon?)
* Walking on a Star Unknown (A cooking game from Segawa, might include The Talk).
