Let's Play Yoshi's Island - Part 1 - Baby Steps
7YOSHIIIII!
As some of you may (or may not be aware) I'm a pretty big fan of the original Yoshi's Island. Being one of the first games from my childhood, it's held a special place in my heart since I was a tiny little lad.
Hell, one of the main reasons I played Kirby's Epic Yarn at the beginning of the year was to get hyped for the upcoming Wooly World! So it it really any surprise that while 2015 is winding down we just sit back, relax, and die 18 million times!? Sounds like a fun time to me!
*insert the cries of Baby Mario here*
Before we get into it I just wanna bring up two quick disclaimers.
a) This will NOT be a 100% playthrough, nor will it be an impressive one by any means! This is a very laid back, death-filled, re-visit to Yoshi's Island for fun! If you're interested in something a bit more...well...entertaining, then I'd highly recommend checking out the "AGDQ 2014 100% Speedrun by Trihex". Personally, one of my favorite speedruns of all time, with a ton of crazy moments of execution and great commentary! b) Speaking of crap, we're unfortunately playing the GBA version of the game, as opposed to the original SNES version, because the original has never been re-released by Nintendo...ever. No seriously. The only way to play the original game is through the actual cartridge, or emulators. No Virtual Console release for you!
Anyway, with that out of the way, let's get on wi*bop* WAAAH! WAAAH! WAAAH! WAA-*pop.
Wow...not even one description in and we've already upset Baby Mario. Get used to those cries because you're going to be hearing them through this playthrough...a lot!

In this part we just mind our own business when babies start falling from the sky! It's raining flowers and mushrooms I tell ya!
At any rate, it appears that this little baby named "Mario" also has a baby brother named "Luigi" that was taken by the evil wizard Kamek for...well...to be honest he probably meant to take the other brother. Kamek must've had an out of date calendar and thought it was still the Year of (Baby) Luigi.
ANYWAY, the local clan of Yoshi's really has absolutely nothing better to do than to help a brother out, as we start an epic relay race spanning an entire island...and a lot of Game Over screens! YOSHIIII!
